Pengaruh Brain Gym Terhadap Tingkat Konsentrasi Belajar Pada Anak Sekolah di SD Negeri 1 Tonja Denpasar

Abstract

Background: The success of the learning process greatly affects the formation of self-concept including the mechanism of coping stress. This affect the selection of coping mechanisms as they mature, whether adaptive or maladaptive. Concentration is an important aspect for students in achieving success in the learning process. Purpose: The of this research aimed to know the influence of brain gym to the concentration level of learning in school children. Method: The method research used experimental with Quasy Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The samples were 40 people with Sampling Probability Sampling technique that was Simple Random Sampling. Result: The results of this study used The Army Alpha Intelligence Test. Pretest result in intervention group was 3,75 ±1,410 and control group was 2,95 ±1,820. Post test result showed that in intervention group was 7.40 ±1,930 and control group was 2.15 ± 1,496. Data were analyzed using nonparametric statistics Mann Whitney U Test. Obtained U = 12.000 and p = 0,000 <0,05 so H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. Disscusion: The increased concentration can be caused by brain gym can increased O2 supply to the brain so that the memory and concentration increased and decresed of tension.
